So...SCI FI Channel is changing its name.  Fail, SciFi.  I for one refuse to use the new name.  I understand the desire for something that can be trademarked, but...SyFy?  Really?

Some interesting news:  NBC will be airing the BBC's Merlin starting in June.  Now, if only they'd do the same for Doctor Who...

Something of interest to Tolkienverse fans:  Has anyone else heard of a fan film called The Hunt For Gollum?  There's a website and trailer up for it.  Apparently, it's some sort of fan project that will be released free online sometime this year.  Looks like it could be good, and it might help the wait while The Hobbit gets made.

Secondly, yay for awesome Star Trek stuff!  Expensive, but so pretty and shiny.  (And by shiny, I mean covered in flashing lights).  Also, best Trek communicator ever.
